The Finance Department provides debt management, cash management, accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for all City departments. The City Accountant provides financial management and policy support, and financial information to the City Administrator, departments, the public and other agencies. This Finance Department monitors spending and ensures the most efficient and effective use of city funds. The City Administrator oversees the budget and works with the City Accountant in developing a proposed budget to be presented to Council. The City’s Fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept 30.
