This Division is responsible for the inspection, enforcement, and administration of applying City ordinances to private property, conducting on-site inspections, and handling administrative details that maintain or improve quality of life.

The Criminal Investigation Division is tasked with pursuing leads received during and following the initial reporting of criminal activity; to recover stolen property, develop suspects, arrest those persons responsible for committing crimes and assist in the successful prosecution of those so charged.

The Uniform Patrol Division is the primary and largest division of the Police Department with emphasis placed on the philosophy of community policing. The officers are committed to protecting the lives and property of all who live, work, play and visit the City of Auburn.
